happy st. patty’s day
if u celebrate such frivolity or profundity, whichever it may be for you.
for me, its my mom’s birthday.
i would say “mum” because that always seems to sound better when spoken,
yet when written, it just doesn’t look right. Â “Mom” it is. Â happy birthday mom.
this will be the only evidence i wish her any happiness on her birthday because,
truth be told, idc if my mother is happy on her birthday.
if she’s not, its her fault, just like if i was not happy on my birthday it would be my fault.
my mom wouldn’t want me to really think anything different.
and she’s right.
so, happy birthday mom, if you ever find this greeting on a blog that i
so randomly administer there’s no one here to actually read this
birthday greeting, so if you do happen to stumble upon it, and realize that yes,
i even use social media to do what i wouldn’t really want to actually
do in real life, celebrate your birthday with you, i do create a part of me that realizes and tries
to honor the potential in you even when you fail so miserably at being a human being
that i would never actually wish you a happy birthday unless you were randomly
at the restaurant when we break out in song and i knew you not at all.
